Thursday, January 15 M is for Matching Mittens. We had fun making new colors in the snow.
Friday, January 16 We learned some new words today--habitat, camouflage and Arctic. A Polar Bear's habitat is the snow and ice in the Arctic. Arctic animals have white fur to camouflage them in the snow. We made symmetry pattern block designs.
Tuesday, January 20--- Snowball names, Symmetry, snowman buttons, snowman show and tell, snowman story sequencing
Tuesday, January 22 We read Snowmen at Night and then told Mrs. Westra what we thought our snowmen did while we were sleeping. At our centers we made a night snowman, made pattern block snowmen, found numbers on our snowman paper and ice skated on our preschool ice rink! We also listened for the beginning sounds of some pictures and they all started with Sammy Snake's sound.
Monday, January 27 Our theme today was Penguins. We began the morning celebrating Cameron's birthday. We learned about penguins and how they stay warm in the frigid Antarctica. At our centers we made penguin headbands for the penguin dance, we fed penguins fish, and used pushpins to make penguin light pictures. Just before our snack time we had fun doing the penguin dance. Make sure to watch the video. Then outside we went to play with our Team One buddies. It was a good day!
